Perambulating Listelessy but Persistently!
Estimated reading time: 1 minute, 18 secondsI walk (and talk, write, and think); therefore, I am.
My perambulations have been listless for the last six days.
Fortunately, on Monday, the 14th, I achieved the November Apple Watch goal of exercising 144 minutes daily for fourteen days.
But I had to drag myself over the finish line.
I recorded one hundred miles a week on my two feet a year ago.
But since my Upside Down Monday, I struggled to meet the minimum goal of self-propelled miles.
- Was it a nightmare dream with me lying on the cold tiles of my bathroom floor?
- Or was it merely a foretelling that one day, like Jan, I would fall and not be able to rebound on my own?
I pushed the envelope on my morning walk and broke the seven-mile mark again. But my pace is still a faint shadow of last week, not to mention last year.
In moments of uncertainty, I hear Jan’s words of wisdom spinning from her wind sculpture.
Richard, you are capable and strong, and I believe in you.
With Jan’s enduring love and support, I tie my shoes and walk (talk, write, and think)!
