Weeping Widow
Estimated reading time: 0 minutes, 35 secondsOn today’s walk, I became a weeping widow. For some reason, the walk was more difficult than I expected. It was no longer than yesterday and only a mile above my average last week. I was just below 10 miles when I entered Hanson Park. Tears poured out of my eyes as if everyone had opened every NJ faucet. If I could bottle it all up, I might have helped end the western states’ drought. Hopefully, only a Sudden Temporary Upsurge in Grief (STUGs) blinded me.
Sitting on one of her benches, I reminded myself that love never dies.
Weight Loss
Estimated reading time: 0 minutes, 35 secondsI weighed myself today and was down a little more than two and a half pounds since Monday. The only difference was walking 12 miles in the morning instead of 11, and I decided to walk less this afternoon and rest. I’m feeling better but still surprised at the weight loss, which might explain the wobbliness.
